EA Fawole Foundation distributes 1,000 food packs to Muslims in Shomolu during Ramadan

The Hon. Ezekiel Fawole Foundation known as EA foundation has distributed over 1,000 food packs to Muslim worshippers across several mosques in Shomolu, Lagos State, as part of humanitarian efforts during the holy month of Ramadan.

The outreach programme took place every Friday throughout Ramadan, providing essential iftar meals to fasting Muslims shortly after the weekly Jumu’ah prayers.

Initiative Reaches Multiple Mosques

According to organisers, the food packs were distributed across several mosques within the Shomolu community to ensure the initiative reached a broad segment of worshippers observing the fast.

Each pack contained carefully selected food items suitable for breaking the fast, helping to ease the burden on families during the fasting period.

This year’s intervention represents a major expansion of the foundation’s humanitarian outreach.

Fawole Emphasises Spirit of Ramadan

Speaking during one of the distributions, Ezekiel Fawole said the initiative reflects the core values of Ramadan, which emphasise compassion, generosity, and support for the less privileged.

“The essence of Ramadan is about sharing, caring, and uplifting one another.

Volunteers from the foundation worked closely with mosque leaders to coordinate the distribution and ensure that the food packs reached those most in need.
