Suspected terrorists, often referred to as bandits, have taken seven members of the same family along with three other individuals captive in Unguwar Sabon-Titi, situated along the Katari–Hayin Dam road in Kachia Local Government Area of Kaduna State.
According to a local resident named Markus Yakubu, the abduction occurred around 9:32 p.m. on Thursday and he confirmed the details of the attack.

Yakubu described how the armed intruders stormed a residential area, gathering members of a single family before moving to a nearby house to abduct three additional residents.

“The bandits arrived in large numbers and surrounded my neighbor’s home. Some entered the house and took family members away. Then they proceeded to another house and kidnapped three more individuals,” he reported.

He noted that the assailants initially refrained from firing their weapons but began shooting after they had relocated the victims.
Yakubu suggested that the initial silence from the bandits might have been influenced by the proximity of the Divisional Police Officer’s residence.
“The DPO’s house is very close to the scene, which might explain why they avoided gunfire at first to prevent drawing attention,” he said.
The family members taken were identified as Jummai Amos, Barnabas Amos, Iko Amos, Baby Amos, Eunice Amos, Eshiwan Amos, and Godwin Amos.
The other abducted individuals from the adjacent home were Bagudu Damisa, Evelyn Damisa, and Alfred Iriyo.
Sources in the community have indicated that security forces are currently conducting search operations in nearby forests to apprehend the attackers and rescue the captives.
