He noted that the longstanding partnership between the police and the Air Force has significantly contributed to crime reduction through coordinated intelligence sharing, joint patrols, and surveillance operations.

Drawing from his experience as a former Lagos State Commissioner of Police, Jimoh emphasised that collaboration between both institutions has been instrumental in addressing security challenges effectively and proactively.

With his current oversight covering both Lagos and Ogun states, Jimoh stated that the visit was also aimed at reinforcing existing ties and ensuring continued cooperation in tackling emerging security threats across the region.

He further stressed the importance of resolving operational misunderstandings among junior personnel swiftly to prevent escalation, noting that such proactive conflict management has helped sustain harmony between both forces.

The AIG reiterated the commitment of the Nigeria Police leadership under Olatunji Disu to strengthening institutional relationships and improving investigative efficiency nationwide.

In his response, Air Vice Marshal Suleh described the visit as timely and commendable, praising Jimoh’s professionalism and leadership style.

He recalled previous interactions with the AIG during his tenure as Lagos CP, noting that his approach to security matters fostered mutual respect and effective collaboration.

Suleh expressed confidence in Jimoh’s leadership, describing him as a dedicated officer committed to excellence. He also assured the AIG of the Nigerian Air Force’s continued support in joint operations and strategic engagements.
