The Executive Chairman of Lekki LCDA, Rasaki Bamidele Kasali, has reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to grassroots development after convening a stakeholders’ meeting with fishermen and key players in the local fishing value chain.

The meeting, held at the Lekki Local Council Development Area Secretariat, brought together: Fishermen, Market women, Council officials, Agricultural department representatives and Members of the public.

 

The session created an open platform for participants to share real challenges affecting their livelihoods.

Kasali assured attendees that the Council is already taking steps to address many of these concerns.

 

He revealed that Fishing equipment has already been procured and will soon be distributed. Plans are underway to build a standard market in Otolu to enhance commercial activities

 

These initiatives aim to improve productivity and increase income for those in the fishing value chain.

 

Kasali stressed that strengthening the local economy remains a top priority for his administration.
