Governor Sani hosts First Lady for distribution of Rice, ₦1.2bn palliatives in Kaduna

Kaduna State Governor, Senator Uba Sani, on Thursday hosted Nigeria’s First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, during the official flag-off of the distribution of 100 trucks of rice and ₦1.2 billion in palliative support for vulnerable households across the 19 Northern states and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).

The event, which took place in Kaduna State, was organised as part of efforts by the Federal Government and its partners to provide relief for Nigerians facing economic hardship.

According to Governor Sani, the intervention was carried out in collaboration with the Muslim Intellectuals Forum and the Office of the Special Adviser to the President on Political and Other Matters, led by Hon. Ibrahim Masari.

The governor, while speaking at the event, commended President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for what he described as purposeful leadership under the Renewed Hope Agenda, noting that the administration’s policies were aimed at promoting economic recovery, social inclusion and national stability.

He also praised the First Lady for her commitment to humanitarian and inclusive programmes, saying her interventions continue to support vulnerable citizens across religious and ethnic divides.

Governor Sani described Kaduna as “the heartbeat of Northern Nigeria,” adding that the state would continue to play a key role in promoting unity, dialogue and development in the region.

He further appreciated religious leaders for their contributions to peace and social cohesion, while reaffirming his administration’s commitment to policies that improve the welfare of residents.
