Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu has approved a N50,000 assistance package for employees throughout Lagos State to help alleviate the impact of increasing economic challenges.

He made this announcement on Friday during the 2026 Workers’ Day event held at the Mobolaji Johnson Arena, which focused on the theme “Insecurity, Poverty – Bane of Decent Work.”

Represented by his deputy, Obafemi Hamzat, Sanwo-Olu stated that the N50,000 support would be disbursed alongside May salaries, noting that the program would be reviewed based on the state of the economy.
