Key responsibilities include:
- Conducting desk research, literature reviews, and stakeholder interviews.
- Producing content for the CIVICUS Lens platform, the annual State of Civil Society Report, and thematic publications.
- Transcribing and editing interviews.
- Creating simple data visuals and social media content to disseminate research findings.
- Supporting editing and dissemination efforts.
The role emphasises qualitative research, writing, and digital communications, offering interns deep insights into global civic space challenges, particularly voices from the Global South.

Eligibility and Requirements
Applicants should meet the following criteria:16
- Hold (or be near completion of) a degree in social sciences or a related field (BSc/HND minimum).
- Demonstrate excellent written and oral communication skills in English (fluency in other UN languages such as French or Spanish is an advantage).
- Show strong interest in civil society, advocacy, and global development issues.
- Possess the ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and collaborate in a multicultural virtual team.
- Have familiarity with MS Office; skills in tools like Canva or basic data visualization are a plus.
The internship is open to candidates of all nationalities and is fully remote, making it accessible worldwide.
