The Senate of the Lagos State University of Science and Technology (LASUSTECH) has decided to rusticate 23 students for examination misconduct, a resolution made after reviewing a report from the Senate Students’ Disciplinary Committee.
This decision was taken during the University’s 43rd Statutory Senate Meeting on May 26, 2026, where various disciplinary cases from the second semester of the 2024/2025 academic year were evaluated, particularly from the College of Environmental Design and Technology, College of Engineering and Technology, and College of Basic Sciences.

An internal memo from the Senate Division, signed by Deputy Registrar Mr. Olufemi A. Adebanjo, stated that the students involved were found guilty of examination misconduct and will be suspended for two consecutive semesters, starting from the second semester of the 2025/2026 academic year.
These students are expected to return to their studies in the second semester of the 2026/2027 academic session after completing their suspension.
