During the screening, the Director General of the Kano State Hisbah Board announced that the state has set aside ₦1.5 billion for the upcoming 2026 mass wedding program.

He noted that this initiative is not only aimed at assisting couples who might find it hard to afford wedding costs, but it also seeks to promote family values and decrease the number of children born outside of marriage in the state.
