The Lagos State Police Command has apprehended four individuals after seizing a truck filled with bags of military camouflage and boxes of suspected hard drugs that were reportedly being transported from Lagos to the South-East.
Commissioner of Police, Tijani Fatai, announced this at a press conference on Tuesday at the command’s headquarters in Ikeja, where he also shared key accomplishments from the past two weeks.

He explained that operatives from the State Tactical Squad intercepted the truck on Saturday night based on intelligence indicating that the items were being taken out of Lagos via the Lekki-Epe route.
Fatai noted that the truck was laden with numerous sacks of military camouflage uniforms and various drug cartons.
βThese bags here contain military camouflage. We acted swiftly upon receiving the information. The truck was stopped while leaving Lagos State, and those involved were arrested,β he explained.

The police commissioner added that four suspects are in custody, and efforts are ongoing to catch other individuals associated with the shipment.
He indicated that initial investigations suggest the goods were destined for the eastern region of Nigeria, but authorities are still working to pinpoint the exact
destination and purpose of the shipment. βOur information suggests that the items were intended for somewhere in the East. We are continuing our investigation to identify those responsible,β he stated.
