The PBAT-KOH campaign coordinator in Isolo Local Council Development Area (LCDA), Alhaji Mukaila Ajao, popularly known as Milaco, has inaugurated campaign cordinators ambassadors drawn from the seven wards of the council, charging them to intensify grassroots mobilisation for the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidates ahead of the January 2027 elections.
The newly inaugurated ambassadors are expected to support the campaign council in executing its assigned responsibilities and mobilising support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu (PBAT), Lagos State governorship candidate Kadiri Obafemi Hamzat (KOH), House of Representatives (HOR) candidate, Monsurudeen Oloyede Bello (Obe), the House of Assembly (HOA) candidate, Ladi Ajomale.
Speaking at the inauguration, Milaco urged the ambassadors to take their responsibilities seriously by engaging residents at the grassroots and ensuring that the party’s candidates receive adequate support in the forthcoming elections.
He stressed the importance of sustained mobilisation across the seven wards, noting that the campaign team’s activities would be crucial to the party’s electoral efforts.
A member of the PBAT-KOH Campaign Council’s New Media Directorate, Oliyide Ayodele, also emphasised the need for stronger grassroots engagement, saying the campaign must work towards increasing voter participation and improving the party’s performance compared with the 2023 elections.
Ayodele referenced remarks attributed to KOH during a visit to Isolo LCDA on Sunday, October 19, 2026, concerning voter turnout in the area during the last general election.
According to him, only 16.9 per cent of registered voters in Isolo participated in the 2023 election, a figure he said underscored the need for more intensive mobilisation ahead of the next polls.
He therefore called on the newly inaugurated ambassadors and other party stakeholders to expand their outreach, engage eligible voters and encourage greater participation in the electoral process.
In a separate engagement, Milaco met with members of the Isolo Progressive Movement (IPM), where he urged them to support the party’s activities ahead of the elections. Members of the group, in turn, emphasised the importance of unity among party leaders and stakeholders.
Milaco also visited the Police Wives Association (POWA) Market, where he is overseeing the construction of a borehole aimed at providing access to clean water for traders.
The market’s Iya Oloja, Mrs Ojo Oluwaseun, commended Milaco for the initiative and expressed confidence that traders would support APC candidates in the forthcoming January 2027 elections.
The engagements form part of the Isolo LCDA campaign coordinator’s ongoing mobilisation and community outreach activities ahead of the polls.
