CAF appoints All-Cameroonian officiating team for Nigeria vs Mozambique AFCON clash

The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has appointed an all-Cameroonian officiating team for Nigeria’s Round of 16 encounter against Mozambique at the ongoing Africa Cup of Nations.

According to the official designation, Abdou Abdel Mefir will serve as the center referee for the highly anticipated knockout fixture.

He will be assisted by fellow Cameroonians Elvis Noupoue and Carine Atezambong, who have been named as assistant referees.

The match is scheduled to take place on Monday at the Complexe Sportif de Fès, with kickoff slated for 8:00 p.m. Nigerian time.

Nigeria and Mozambique are set to meet for only the second time in Africa Cup of Nations history.

Their sole previous encounter came during the 2010 tournament in Angola, when the Super Eagles recorded a commanding 3–0 victory over the Mambas.
