Comedian Seyi Law has issued a public apology after facing criticism for his recent claim that Nigeria is now safer than it was a decade ago.
In a video addressing the backlash, he acknowledged that his comments made on The Honest Bunch podcast, where he questioned whether kidnappings were a new issue and suggested an improvement in the country’s security, were insensitive.

He sincerely regrets his statement and extends his apologies to anyone affected by it. He concluded by committing to continue discussions with government officials to advocate for better security, reiterating his heartfelt apology for his earlier comments.
