The Female Football Academy Proprietors (FEFAP), organisers of the WAFA League, will honour distinguished sports personalities during a special penalty shoot-out tournament involving member clubs.
The event is scheduled to take place on Saturday, February 14, at the Jide Sanwo-Olu Football Arena, Ilupeju, OdiOlowo Ojuwoye LCDA.

Several notable figures will be recognised for their outstanding contributions to the growth and development of women’s football. Among the awardees are the Chairman of the Lagos State Football Association (LSFA), Hajji Gafar Liameed; the Leader of the Mushin Football Coaches Council (MFCC), Mr Rotimi Vianney Diego; and the founder of Robo Queens FC, Mr Emmanuel Osahon.

Also set to receive awards are the Chairman of OdiOlowo Ojuwoye LCDA, Mr Seyi Jakande, and the immediate past Chairman of the LCDA, Mr Rasaq Ajala, in appreciation of their continued support for women’s football.
As part of the day’s activities, member clubs will compete for honours in a penalty shoot-out tournament scheduled to kick off at 1:00 p.m. A novelty match between FEFAP Coaches and OdiOlowo Coaches will further add excitement and glamour to the occasion.

FEFAP will also celebrate three promising young players from its member clubs, Muinat Rotimi, Olamide Olanrewaju and Waliat Rotimi, who represented Nigeria’s U-17 women’s team at the 2025 FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup in Morocco.
