The Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC) has reportedly identified several real estate holdings in Egypt associated with former Kaduna State Governor, Nasir El-Rufai.
As reported by TheCable, these properties are part of the evidence gathered during the commission’s ongoing investigation into activities that are said to have taken place while El-Rufai was governor from 2015 to 2023.

🔗 Join Our ChannelThe report indicates that the assets include three villas and six apartments situated in affluent areas of Cairo. Specifically, villas within the Arabilla and Banafsik Estates in New Cairo are reportedly valued between $1 million and $1.3 million, while apartments in Cairo Festival City are estimated at about $500,000 each.
Among the properties allegedly linked to El-Rufai are a villa in Arabilla Estate (5th Settlement, Cairo), another in Banafsik Estate (1st Settlement, New Cairo), and a third villa in Oriana II, New Cairo, near the American University in Cairo.

The ICPC is currently investigating El-Rufai for purported financial mismanagement during his time as governor. Reports suggest that the former governor has been in ICPC custody since February 18, 2026.
Before his detention, El-Rufai was also reportedly interrogated by the Department of State Services (DSS) concerning his allegations about the phone of National Security Adviser Nuhu Ribadu being tapped.
