Mojtaba Khamenei is believed to have significant connections with the influential Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps and the Basij. Analysts note that his ascension occurs during heightened tensions, with both the U.S. and Israel pledging to target key Iranian leadership figures as the conflict escalates.
