Furthermore, residents reported that traveling between nearby villages has become perilous, with families living in constant fear due to alleged ransom demands from criminals.

The community, represented by J. P. Akunji Obar, expressed concern regarding the insufficient security presence in the area.

While acknowledging that local youth are willing to defend their community, the letter stressed the necessity for a lawful framework, coordination, and official security assistance to confront heavily armed attackers.

Key demands directed at the state government include the immediate stationing of security personnel in Ankuwa and nearby villages, creating four permanent security posts or a Joint Task Force base in strategic areas within the community, enhanced patrol and surveillance along the Ankuwa-Kachia road, and direct communication between government representatives and community leaders to establish long-term security solutions.

The letter urged the governor to act quickly and decisively to avert further loss of life and to restore peace, stability, and economic activities in the impacted areas.
