The operation targeted individuals locally referred to as “Good Evening Girls.”
Aminuddeen explained the nature of the alleged activities, saying, “These young girls are usually picked by wealthy individuals who take them to places they want, have fun with them and give them money ranging from N5,000 to N30,000.”
According to the statement, the female suspects, aged between 15 and 20, admitted to being involved in prostitution for some time.
The raids were carried out across several key areas in Kano, including Zoo Road, Ahmadu Bello Way, Lamido Crescent, Tukur Road, Lodge Road, and Audu Bako Way, among others.
The Deputy Commander-General affirmed that the board will persist in its efforts to enforce Shari’a law by conducting similar raids to apprehend violators. He also called on parents to focus on the proper upbringing of their children to help prevent social vices.
Aminuddeen concluded that the suspects will face prosecution in court once the ongoing investigation is complete.
