The Lagos State Chairman of the National Youth Council of Nigeria (NYCN), Engr. Ibrahim Adigun has commended the Lekki Local Council Development Area (LCDA) branch for its leadership, vision, and outstanding performance, describing it as a model for youth development across the state.
Engr. Adigun gave the commendation during the maiden Annual Congress and Get-Together of NYCN Lekki LCDA, held on Tuesday at the Lekki Town Hall.

Speaking through the NYCN Lagos State Treasurer, Amb. Ibrahim Ogunbanwo, the state chairman applauded the Lekki LCDA executive for emerging as the Best Local Branch in the Lagos East Senatorial District at the last NYCN State Congress.
“The Lekki LCDA branch has shown exceptional commitment to youth engagement, accountability, and community service. Your emergence as the best local branch in Lagos East is not by chance but a reflection of purposeful leadership and teamwork,” Engr. Adigun said.
He urged youths in Lekki and across Lagos State to remain disciplined, proactive. He focused on self-development, stressing that the future of governance and nation-building rests heavily on the shoulders of young people.
“Youth development is not just about activism; it is about building capacity, acquiring knowledge, and offering solutions. I encourage you all to embrace continuous learning and position yourselves as problem-solvers in your communities,” he added.
