The Coordinator of the National Youth Council of Nigeria (NYCN), Lekki Local Council Development Area (LCDA) Branch, has called on youths, leaders, and stakeholders to deepen their commitment to youth development and inclusive leadership as the council held its 2025 Annual Congress and End-of-Year Get-Together at the Lekki Town Hall.

“Today is not merely a ceremonial gathering; it is an opportunity for sincere reflection on our achievements, lessons, challenges, and aspirations as a council,” he said.
According to him, the congress provided a platform for engagement, financial accountability, presentation of progress reports, and the unveiling of the council’s action plans for 2026, while also allowing stakeholders to contribute constructive feedback.
“This Congress goes beyond formality. It symbolizes the coming together of youths, leaders, policymakers, and stakeholders united by a shared vision of sustainable youth development, inclusive leadership, and community progress in Lekki LCDA,” the coordinator added.
He expressed deep appreciation to the Executive Chairman of Lekki LCDA, Engr. Rasaki Bamidele Kasali, MNSE, who serves as the Grand Patron of NYCN Lekki LCDA, for his consistent support for youth-driven initiatives.
“His unshakable belief in the capacity of youths and his commitment to youth empowerment remain a strong pillar of our successes. On behalf of the youths of Lekki LCDA, we say thank you for standing firmly with us,” he said.
The coordinator also welcomed key government officials, community leaders, and youth stakeholders, including the Vice Chairman of Lekki LCDA, Hon. Oluremi Abiodun Alogba; the Leader of the House, Hon. Musediku Monsuru Ola; former Supervisor for Youth, Sports and Civic Engagement, Hon. Segun Kazeem Oseni; and the CDC Chairman and former Supervisor for Agriculture and Community Development, Hon. Adeleke Olatubosun Olabanjo.
He acknowledged the presence of the NYCN Lagos State leadership, led by the State Chairman, Engr. Ibrahim Adigun Olalekan, MNSE, as well as apex youth leaders from Epe Division, community youth chairmen across the 54 communities in Lekki LCDA, student bodies, religious youth groups, and other youth organizations.
Reaffirming the council’s vision, the coordinator charged the youths to remain united and proactive in driving development across the LCDA.
“Our collective responsibility is to ensure that youth voices are heard, youth capacities are developed, and youth energy is channeled towards positive community impact,” he said.
