Former Enyimba goalkeeper Ojo Olorunleke has expressed strong confidence in Nigeria’s chances of winning the ongoing Africa Cup of Nations, urging the team to remain focused and avoid distractions as the tournament progresses.
Olohunleke, a former Enyimba FC shot-stopper, was part of the Nigerian squad that finished second at the 2023 AFCON in Côte d’Ivoire, making his assessment one rooted in recent tournament experience.

Speaking on the Super Eagles’ prospects, the former international stressed that consistency and mental discipline would be key to lifting the continental trophy.
“Oh, we’re winning the tournament if we keep on winning our games,” Olohunleke told The Lagos Voice.
He added, “By doing so, remaining focused and avoiding distractions is key.”
He also highlighted the importance of collective support from Nigerians, adding that the team needs spiritual backing alongside on-field effort.
“While we also support the team with genuine prayers. Peace,” he concluded.
Nigeria have shown encouraging form in the tournament so far, recoreded 100% during the group stage and will face Mozambique in the round of 16 on Monday.
