The police indicated that investigations are ongoing to identify other accomplices and handlers of stolen goods.

In a separate operation, seven individuals were arrested on November 17 in Nunbu Bashayi, Sanga Local Government Area, after intelligence linked them to a kidnapping case where they reportedly demanded ransom before being tracked down.

Officials confirmed that efforts are ongoing to apprehend other members of the syndicate and retrieve the weapons used in the criminal activities.

Additionally, the Command reported the arrest of five people on November 6, including one Haruna Umar, also known as “Kada,” for their suspected roles in armed robbery, sexual assault, and cyber extortion. This group is accused of stealing mobile devices, ATM cards, and other valuables from victims while using recorded videos of sexual assaults to blackmail them. One suspect remains at large.

Furthermore, nine individuals were detained in connection with an armed robbery along the Abuja–Kaduna Expressway, where a commercial tricycle rider was allegedly drugged during the incident.

The police also arrested Adamu Abubakar Muhammed, 44, for allegedly pretending to be a licensed medical doctor at a Kawo hospital, where he reportedly treated eight patients without the necessary credentials.

CP Muhammad stated that these arrests are part of ongoing intelligence-led operations in collaboration with the military, the Department of State Services, and other security agencies. He encouraged the public to supply credible information to aid security efforts.

All suspects are currently in custody and will be charged in court after investigations are concluded.
