Super Eagles Goalkeeper suspended amid match-fixing allegations

Nigerian international goalkeeper Amas Obasogie has been handed a three-month suspension by his Tanzanian club, Singida Black Stars, following an internal investigation into alleged match-fixing.

According to reports from Tanzanian journalist Samir Sylva, the club has taken disciplinary action against two players for misconduct.

Obasogie’s suspension comes amid serious allegations of match-fixing, though the club has yet to release a detailed public statement on the matter.

Alongside Obasogie, Ugandan midfielder Khalid Aucho was also suspended for three months. Aucho’s ban is reportedly due to separate issues of misconduct, including dereliction of duty and absenteeism.
