‘Trump is after removing Tinubu’ — Primate Ayodele alleges plot against Nigerian President

In a statement issued by his media aide, Osho Oluwatosin, the cleric claimed that President Tinubu has been politically “caged” by Trump, who he said is determined to see the Nigerian leader unseated.

“Trump is adamant about removing President Tinubu,” Ayodele said. “America will be among those who will oppose Tinubu. You may not see it as I am being shown, and that’s why I am saying Trump is after removing Tinubu, that’s it and nothing more.”

Ayodele further alleged that recent United States support for Nigeria’s security efforts is not driven by genuine concern over the country’s insecurity but is instead a strategy to infiltrate the government.

According to the cleric, Nigeria’s ongoing battle with insecurity will persist regardless of foreign involvement, insisting that Trump’s alleged focus lies elsewhere.

“Nigeria will continue to fight insecurity, but whether they fight it or not, Trump is focused on removing Tinubu from office, but he doesn’t know it yet,” he stated.

The prophet warned President Tinubu to take urgent and decisive political steps to counter what he described as a looming threat to his administration.

He cautioned that failure to act could allow the alleged plan to succeed.

“Tinubu must take a very bold step to overcome the plans of Trump, because he has caged him already,” Ayodele concluded.

Neither the Nigerian presidency nor representatives of former U.S. President Donald Trump have responded to the claims as of the time of filing this report.
