Super Eagles goalkeeper Stanley Nwabali has officially parted ways with South African Premier Soccer League (PSL) side Chippa United, bringing an end to a four-year chapter that saw him become a key figure for the Chilli Boys.

In a heartfelt post on X (formerly Twitter) this morning, Nwabali expressed deep gratitude and emotion as he said goodbye to his teammates, coaches, fans, and club chairman.

The Nigerian international, known for his safe hands and leadership between the posts, shared:”It was more than a family. To my lovely teammates, dear coaches, amazing fans and great chairman. The message was accompanied by a video clip (attached to the post), showing emotional moments likely from his time at the club, including scenes of team camaraderie and celebrations.

Chippa United confirmed the departure earlier today, stating that Nwabali had formally requested to leave the club, and after careful consideration, the request was granted by mutual consent.

During his tenure since joining in 2022, Nwabali made 76 appearances for the Eastern Cape-based side, keeping an impressive 25 clean sheets and establishing himself as one of the PSL’s reliable goalkeepers.
