‘You have to score’ – Henry advises Barcelona to sign Victor Osimhen

Arsenal legend Thierry Henry has urged FC Barcelona to make a move for Super Eagles striker Victor Osimhen, insisting the Spanish giants need a proven, world-class number nine to maximise their attacking potential.

Speaking to Spanish outlet Sport, Henry stressed that Barcelona require a clinical finisher rather than a developing prospect.

Henry believes Barcelona’s creative talents are currently not being fully rewarded due to the absence of a ruthless finisher in front of goal.

He said, “Barcelona need a real number 9. A top-level striker. I am referring to formidable scorers such as Victor Osimhen, Erling Haaland or Harry Kane. Proven finishers, not prospects.”

“When you have a talent like Lamine Yamal, who makes passes like that, you have to score. It’s simple. At this level, one chance is enough. I’ve seen games where too many chances were wasted. At Barcelona, that can’t happen. That’s what makes the difference between being competitive and being champion,” Henry added.
