Former Lagos State Governor, Akinwunmi Ambode, has reaffirmed his commitment to rallying support for President Bola Tinubu’s re-election and for the election of Dr Kadri Obafemi Hamzat as the next Governor of Lagos State.
This was contained in a statement by the Ambode Support Associates signed by former General Manager, Lagos State Emergency Management Agency (LASEMA), Adesina Tiamiyu.

The statement said Ambode made the commitment after a meeting with his political associates on Wednesday, November 4, adding that he pledged to strengthen party unity and consolidate political relationships.
It said arrangements were being advanced to host Hamzat, the All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship candidate in Lagos, and other party candidates in Epe next week.

He said the gathering was designed to demonstrate the “strength, unity and collective resolve” of the Lagos APC family, adding that it is expected to bring together members, political leaders, community stakeholders and party faithful from across the state.
According to Tiamiyu, the event will also serve as a platform to strengthen existing alliances, deepen political collaboration and renew commitment to the party’s success in the 2027 general elections.
The statement said the mobilisation effort reflected the group’s philosophy of “One Nation, One Community, One Family”. It added that the drive would begin at the grassroots, targeting communities, Community Development Associations (CDAs), market women, artisans, persons with disabilities and other groups, with the aim of building a united front for Tinubu and Hamzat.

“Unity must translate into action, relationships must translate into stronger alliances, and collective commitment must translate into electoral success because we believe strongly in inclusion,” the statement said.
