Barely 24 hours after a driver lost his life in a truck collision accident along the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway, three people have lost their lives in another accident.
The spokesperson for the Ogun State Traffic Compliance and Enforcement Agency, Babatunde Akinbiyi, told Newsmen on Wednesday that the accident occurred late Tuesday at the Ogere area of the expressway.

According to Akinbiyi, the accident involved four vehicles, including a DAF truck with number plate ARG 851; a Toyota Sienna with number plate AKD 555 JA; a Toyota Camry with number plate KRD 35 JM; and a Toyota bus with number plate JJJ185 YG.
He noted that a preliminary investigation revealed that the truck driver was driving recklessly before he lost control and veered off the road.
Akinbiyi said, “According to a preliminary police investigation, the crash was caused by impatience and reckless driving on the part of the truck driver who lost control and veered away wildly, crossing the barrier to the other lane.

He concluded that the deceased victims and injured victims were rescued by the officials of the Federal Road Safety Corps at a hospital.
Confirming the rescue efforts in a telephone conversation, the Ogun FRSC Public Education Officer, Florence Okpe, added that 13 people were injured in the crash.
“Yes, it happened. Twenty-three people were involved, three people died and 13 people were injured.
“The accident involved four vehicles,” Okpe said.
It was reported on Wednesday that a yet-to-be-identified truck driver lost his life after his truck rammed into a faulty stationary truck at the Car Park-C section of the expressway.
It was learnt that the accident occurred in the early hours of Tuesday when the driver lost control and rammed into the vehicle.
