Asisat Oshoala has singled out three ex-Super Falcons players, Perpetua Nkwocha, Precious Dede and Rita Chikwelu – for paving the way for her in the Nigeria Women’s national team.
Oshoala stated this while speaking recently on Arise News after leading the Super Falcons to victory at the WAFCON in Morocco.

“Right now, if you Google players to see who has the most goals in the clubs, you have the likes of Perpetua Nkwocha,” Oshoala said.
“Those are the people that actually paved the way for someone like me to be able to come into the Super Falcons and enjoy certain things.

Oshoala has played for the likes of Liverpool, Arsenal and Barcelona in the past.
The 30-year-old had won six CAF Women’s Player of the Year awards.
