36 Lion FC is recognized as one of the largest football academies, having made history as the only Nigerian club to produce three players—Imoh Ezekiel, Sodiq Popoola, and Junior Ajayi—for the Dream Team at the 2016 Rio Olympic Games.

As stated by the team’s Technical Director, Akinsola Akinrele Francis, this 25th edition of the football event also enhances the talent pool of this leading grassroots team, which remains dedicated to nurturing fresh, talented, and exciting players for Nigeria’s national teams and the international football scene.
