According to a notice shared on its official X (formerly Twitter) page on Tuesday, the officials warned that any PCM whose name on their certificate or statement of result does not exactly match the name uploaded on the NYSC portal must take immediate action.

According to the notice, “Important Notice: Prospective Corps Members (PCMs) whose names in their certificates or statement of results are not exactly the same as the name uploaded to the NYSC portal should contact their institutions to ensure the name tallies before reporting to camp.”

They therefore advised affected candidates to contact their respective institutions to ensure all records are properly aligned before reporting to camp.

NYSC officials stressed that even minor discrepancies such as differences in spelling, arrangement of names, missing middle names, or additional initials will not be accepted during registration.

This warning is not new, as the NYSC has repeatedly issued similar notices over the years due to recurring challenges faced by PCMs who encounter registration issues in camp as a result of nam e mismatches.
