Mudashiru Obasa, the Speaker of the Lagos State House of Assembly, has announced his plans to run for the Agege Federal Constituency seat in the House of Representatives as the All Progressives Congress (APC) primaries approach.
He made this announcement at a stakeholders’ meeting in Agege, Lagos, on Tuesday, where he mentioned that local APC leaders had encouraged him to enter the race.

Additionally, Obasa urged party members to rally behind Ganiyu Egunjobi, a former chairman of the Agege Local Government, who aims to represent Agege Constituency I in the Lagos State House of Assembly.
He also backed Azeez Yusuf Ninolowo for the Agege Constituency II seat in the Lagos Assembly and called on APC members to support all endorsed candidates during the upcoming party primaries.
