Mahmud, Kaduna reps aspirant address on humiliation, vows reforms in governance 

Kaduna House of Representatives aspirant Mahmud Sadis Buba (Abin Al’ajabin Zazzau) has addressed the ridicule and humiliation he claims to have faced due to politics and his appearance.

In an interview with RFI Hausa, the 30-year-old, who is vying for the Sabon Gari/Fada Federal Constituency seat, shared his experiences of enduring years of insults and mockery directed at him and his family.

Mahmud expressed that his dignity has been often compromised due to his appearance and mentioned that he faces constant disrespect when he engages in politics.

Despite the negativity, he remains determined to pursue his goal of representing the constituency, emphasizing his intention to reform Sabon Gari and assist young people in steering clear of gang activities and other societal issues.

He stressed that the youth in the region require genuine opportunities and empowerment rather than just temporary assistance, advocating for teaching them to sustain themselves independently.

Additionally, Mahmud criticized the longstanding inadequate representation in the constituency, highlighting that Sabon Gari, as a vital commercial and industrial hub, deserves improved development.

He pointed out the presence of various industries, textile firms, aviation activities, and institutions like Ahmadu Bello University as key factors that should have led to more progress in the area.

He also revealed that he had aimed to contest the same seat in the 2023 general elections but withdrew due to appeals from political leaders.
