APM announces candidates, assembly aspirants in Lagos as Makinde’s campaign gains traction across southwest

The Allied Peoples Movement (APM) has officially presented its candidates for the 2027 general elections in Ojo, Lagos State. Akogun-Abudu Akinlola Olumayowa, a former candidate for Labour Party chairmanship, has been selected as the party’s representative for the House of Representatives seat in Ojo Federal Constituency.

According to Badagry Today, during the inauguration of the newly elected APM executives, Olumayowa, who has previously held a leadership position within the Labour Party and ran for chairmanship in Ojo Local Government, was introduced as the party’s chosen candidate.

Badagry Today also reported that his selection is seen by political analysts as a notable shift in Ojo’s political dynamics, owing to his strong local support and political experience.

Additionally, Hon. Olalekan Yusuf Akinpelu received the party’s nomination for Ojo Constituency I in the Lagos State House of Assembly. APM members praised both candidates for their credibility and potential to enhance the party’s influence in Lagos State.

This announcement followed prior party primaries and was part of the celebrations surrounding the inauguration of APM’s new leadership in Ojo.

The party has nominated Oyo State Governor Seyi Makinde as its presidential candidate for the upcoming presidential race, sparking noteworthy political conversations nationwide.
