Xenophobia: Stranded Nigerians in South Africa plead for help amid hunger and homelessness

Nigerians stuck in South Africa, eagerly waiting for evacuation flights, have urgently reached out for assistance as they deal with hunger and lack of shelter.

Rev. Frank Onyekwelu, president of the Nigerian Citizens Association South Africa (NICASA), shared this concern on Friday, calling on the Federal Government to expedite the evacuation efforts.

“Many have run out of their limited funds after traveling long distances, trusting that proper arrangements were in place for their exit. They are facing hunger and homelessness,” he stated.
