According to the official announcement, the recruitment aims to strengthen INEC’s institutional capacity in key areas such as electoral administration, voter registration, data management, election logistics, and other critical electoral operations.

Categories of Vacancies
The commission is recruiting for the following positions:
- Professional Cadre (Lawyers, Clinical Officers, IT Officers, Engineers, Accountants, etc.) — Grade Levels 09, 10, and 12
- Administrative Officer II (Registration Area Officer) — Grade Level 08
- Executive Officer (Assistant Registration Area Officer) — Grade Level 07
Qualification Requirements
Requirements vary by cadre:
- Professional Cadre: Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent Master’s in relevant fields, plus professional certifications where applicable (e.g., NBA, MDCN, COREN, NSE, ICAN, ANAN, CPN). Candidates must demonstrate practical knowledge, analytical and communication skills, and proficiency in computer applications.
- Administrative Officer II: Higher National Diploma (HND) or equivalent in Social Sciences, Humanities, or related fields, plus NYSC discharge certificate and relevant ICT skills.
- Executive Officer: National Certificate in Education (NCE) or equivalent, with basic computer knowledge and good communication skills.
