The commendation came during an official oversight visit to the Lekki LCDA Secretariat by the committee, led by its Chairman, Hon. Sanni Ganiyu Babatunde Okanlawon, where members reviewed the council’s projects and programmes executed from 2024 to date.

During the visit, the council presented a comprehensive report detailing achievements under the Kasali administration, highlighting major interventions in road infrastructure, healthcare, education, sports development, environmental sustainability, security, agriculture and other community-focused initiatives.

A major highlight of the visit was the inspection of the ongoing Type C Primary Healthcare Centre, which the committee described as the largest and most ambitious healthcare facility they had seen among the more than 50 Local Governments and Local Council Development Areas (LCDAs) visited across Lagos State.

The lawmakers praised the scale of the project, noting that it demonstrates Lekki LCDA’s commitment to expanding access to quality healthcare services.

The oversight session was attended by the Leader and members of the Legislative Council, Supervisors, the Secretary to the Local Government, the Chief of Staff, Council Manager, Council Treasurer, Heads of Departments and other members of the council’s management team.
