Minister of International Trade, Maninder Sidhu, also expressed support for the development, highlighting that many Canadians of Nigerian descent have long sought better air connections between the nations. He noted that direct flights to Lagos would create greater business opportunities, unite families, and enhance access to one of Africa’s largest economies.
Air Canada stated that further details regarding flight schedules, routes, and the aircraft to be used will be announced at a later time once all regulatory and operational prerequisites are fulfilled.
