Who can apply?
LASU stated that applicants must possess qualifications relevant to the position they are applying for.
General requirements include:
- Relevant Bachelor’s, Master’s and PhD degrees where applicable
- Fellowship of the National Postgraduate Medical College or equivalent for clinical positions
- Registration with the appropriate professional regulatory body
- Active practising licence where required
- Academic publications in line with the rank being applied for
- Teaching and research experience depending on the position
For example, Professor applicants must possess a PhD with at least eight years of post-PhD university teaching experience and a minimum of 25 scholarly publications, while Lecturer I applicants are generally expected to have a PhD or relevant fellowship, at least three years of post-PhD teaching experience and a minimum of five academic publications.
