In a statement from the Secretary to the State Government, Mr. Tokunbo Talabi, officials expressed gratitude to locals, tourists, and visitors for the remarkable turnout during the free entry period.
The initiative, introduced by Governor Dapo Abiodun, aimed to allow the public to rediscover and appreciate the cultural and historical importance of Olumo Rock following its renovation. The statement noted that this goal has been successfully reached, as thousands of individuals took part in the opportunity.
“As a result, and in order to prioritize public safety, His Excellency has ordered that the free entry initiative will conclude on Saturday, August 23, 2025. After that date, standard access procedures will take effect,” the statement indicated.
