Nigeria’s airline, Air Peace to begin direct flight from Lagos to Brazilian Sao Paul

Air Peace, Nigeria’s largest airline, is poised to launch direct flights from Lagos to Sao Paulo, Brazil.

This development stems from an agreement made between President Bola Tinubu and Brazil’s President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva during President Tinubu’s visit to Brazil.

At a joint press conference, President Lula announced that the direct flight initiative aims to enhance the connection between Nigeria and Brazil, stating, “Increasing the direct connections between Nigeria and Brazil is another essential step to strengthen the ties between our societies. We have approved the launch of a direct flight, to be operated by Nigeria’s largest airline company, Air Peace, between Lagos and Sao Paulo.”

The announcement followed a two-hour meeting between the two leaders, during which multiple agreements and memorandums of understanding were signed at the Palácio do Planalto in Brasília.

Among the agreements, Nigeria’s Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development, Festus Keyamo, and Brazil’s Minister of Ports and Airports, Silvio Costa Filhos, formalized a Bilateral Air Services Agreement to enhance trade and interpersonal relations.
