President Tinubu approves lifetime salaries for retiring senior officers

Dr. Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, the Minister of Interior, has announced a new policy that guarantees lifelong salary benefits for senior officers who retire at the rank of Deputy Controller, Comptroller, Commandant-General, or above.

This announcement was made on Thursday during the 2025 Ministerial Retreat, where the minister reviewed the ministry’s achievements and reaffirmed its commitment to improving the performance and capabilities of all its agencies.

A statement issued on Thursday by DCF PO Abraham, the NPRO/Head of Corporate Services at the Federal Fire Service, summarized the key points discussed following the retreat.
