The final FIFPRO Women’s World XI has been announced, with Nigerian defender Michelle Alozie notably absent from the final selection after being named in the initial 25-player shortlist.
Alozie, who plays for the Houston Dash, was the sole representative from Nigeria’s Super Falcons to earn a nomination. However, she did not make the final cut in a team heavily populated by European talent.

While Alozie was omitted, two other African players who were nominated secured their places in the prestigious lineup. Zambia’s Barbara Banda was selected in the attack, while Morocco’s Ghizlane Chebbak earned a spot in the midfield.

The final team selection appears to have been significantly influenced by the UEFA Women’s European Championship. Eight of the eleven players featured in the tournament’s final, with five of them being members of England’s victorious Lionesses.
