In a heartfelt statement released on his X (formerly Twitter) today, Wednesday, November 19, 2025, Tinubu described himself as heartbroken by the kidnapping of innocent daughters in Kebbi, coupled with the loss of military officers who fell in the line of duty in Borno.

He further extended prayers to the families of the kidnapped schoolgirls, noting his deep concern that heatless terrorists have disrupted the education of innocent schoolgirls.
The President emphasized that he has directed all security agencies to act swiftly to rescue the abducted girls and restore peace to Kebbi State.
Acknowledging a recent surge in violent extremism across the country, Tinubu stressed that he had directed security agencies to respond with urgency, clarity, and decisive action. βOur forces need the full cooperation of every community. Sharing information can save lives and protect our children,β he explained.
Reassuring the nation, Tinubu concluded that, βThose who threaten the safety of our citizens will face the full weight of the Nigerian state. May God comfort the bereaved families.β
