Graduate Trainee – Metallurgical and Materials Engineer

Eligibility / Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Metallurgical Engineering, Materials Science, or related discipline
- 0 – 2 years experience (Entry-level role)
- Must have completed NYSC
- Basic knowledge of metallurgical processes and material testing techniques
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and basic engineering software is an advantage
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team-based industrial environment

Key Responsibilities
- Assist with metallurgical testing and materials characterization such as hardness and tensile testing
- Support engineers in evaluating metal and alloy performance
- Participate in failure analysis investigations to determine causes of material defects
- Assist with quality control inspections to ensure production standards are met
- Support process improvement initiatives for better manufacturing efficiency
- Prepare technical reports and documentation
- Assist in monitoring heat treatment, casting, welding, and fabrication processes
- Ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations
- Participate in training and mentorship programs
