Eight Teams Through to the Round of 16

Alongside Arsenal and Bayern, six other clubs confirmed their places directly in the Champions League last 16: Liverpool, Tottenham Hotspur, Barcelona, Chelsea, Sporting CP and Manchester City.

These sides will bypass the playoff round and await their opponents in the next stage.

Teams finishing between ninth and 24th in the overall standings now head into the knockout playoffs, where 16 clubs will fight over eight remaining places in the Round of 16.

The confirmed playoff teams are: Real Madrid, Inter Milan, Paris Saint-Germain, Newcastle United, Juventus, Atletico Madrid, Atalanta, Bayer Leverkusen, Borussia Dortmund, Olympiacos, Club Brugge, Galatasaray, Monaco, Qarabag, Bodo/Glimt, and Benfica

The presence of multiple European giants adds extra intrigue to the playoff phase.

Playoff Draw Set for Friday

The draw for the knockout playoff ties will take place this Friday, determining the matchups and potential paths to the last 16.

With elite clubs such as Real Madrid, PSG, Juventus, and Benfica still in contention, the playoffs promise high drama as the Champions League enters its decisive phase.
