Chelsea claimed the title of world champions on Saturday night at the MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey, where they defeated Paris Saint-Germain 3-0 to win the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup.

Two goals from Cole Palmer and a first-half goal from João Pedro gave the Premier League side a strong victory, marking their second Club World Cup title after winning their first in 2021.

Palmer scored in the 22nd minute, converting a low cross from Malo Gusto. He added another goal eight minutes later with an impressive solo effort, driving into the box and curling a shot into the far corner.
The third goal came in the 43rd minute when Palmer assisted João Pedro, who chipped the ball calmly over PSG goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma.

Despite having 66 percent possession, PSG had difficulty creating clear chances against Chelsea’s tight and organized defense. Robert Sánchez made an important save in the second half, blocking a long-range shot from Marco Asensio.

PSG’s frustrations grew in the 83rd minute when João Neves received a straight red card for pulling Marc Cucurella’s hair during an off-the-ball incident.

Chelsea held on for the rest of the match to secure a clean sheet and the trophy. Palmer earned Man of the Match honors for his two goals and one assist in a commanding performance.
This victory confirms Chelsea’s return to the top of global football under manager Enzo Maresca, as they ended the tournament as worthy champions.
