Dangote Refinery increases petrol price to ₦1,245 per litre 

Dangote Refinery has implemented a new increase in the price of Premium Motor Spirit (PMS), raising its gantry price from ₦1,175 to ₦1,245 per litre, marking a ₦70 increase.

This new pricing will take effect at 12:00 a.m. on March 21, 2026, and will apply to all pending and yet-to-be-loaded product volumes, as stated by the refinery.

In addition to adjusting the gantry price, the refinery has also raised its coastal supply price from ₦1,512,648 to ₦1,606,518 per metric tonne.

The company cited ongoing global geopolitical tensions that are impacting crude oil supply and pricing dynamics as the reason for this price increase.

Despite the hike, the refinery mentioned that customers with valid Bank Guarantees can continue to load under their existing agreements, as long as they pay the price difference.

They also noted that all outstanding differential payments must be settled by March 23, 2026.

This latest adjustment is anticipated to have a cascading effect across the downstream sector, potentially influencing fuel prices and transportation expenses throughou t the country.
