A dispatch rider was tragically killed on Tuesday after a diesel tanker collided with his motorcycle on the Apapa-Oshodi Expressway in Lagos.
The driver of the truck immediately fled the scene following the fatal incident, which occurred under the Cele Bridge.

Officers from the Ijesha Police Division have since taken over the investigation. The impounded tanker, the damaged motorcycle, and the remains of the deceased were handed over to the police. The victim’s body was later transported to a morgue in Yaba.
LASTMA General Manager, Olalekan Bakare Oki, expressed his condolences to the victim’s family, describing the event as tragic. He called on the police to conduct a thorough investigation and ensure the fugitive driver is apprehended and brought to justice.
