However, Nasarawa United mounted some pressure towards the end of the first half, and their efforts were rewarded in the 42nd minute. Jofrank Istifanus managed to find the net after a well-executed attack. His goal brought Nasarawa United back into the game, cutting the deficit to 2-1 just before the break.

The visitors carried that momentum into the second half and found an equalizer in the 55th minute. Habibu Alakija punished a costly mistake by the 3SC goalkeeper, slotting home to bring Nasarawa United level at 2–2.

With the momentum swinging, Shooting Stars had a golden chance to retake the lead in the 65th minute after Nasarawa United conceded a penalty for a foul on striker Qamar Adegoke. However, Adegoke failed to convert, missing a crucial opportunity to restore his side’s advantage.

Undeterred by the missed penalty, Adegoke redeemed himself in the 77th minute. The striker found the back of the net with a decisive finish, putting 3SC back in front at 3–2.

Both sides engaged in a tense, possession-driven battle in the closing stages, but Shooting Stars held firm to secure all three points. The victory lifts Shooting Stars SC to third position on the Nigeria Professional Football League table, marking an important step in their campaign as they continue to push for a top finish.
